World Finance names NCB Jamaica as 'most innovative bank'

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd (NCB) was the recipient of World Finance's "Most Innovative Bank" Award for 2008/2009.

The World Finance Awards, which are presented by World Finance, a leading, London-based financial magazine which World News Media produces from its global Headquarters in London, were created in 2007 to identify industry leaders, individuals, teams and organisations that represent the benchmark of achievement and best practice in the financial and business world.

Jamaica is in fact listed among 36 countries whose financial institutions are being recognised by the Awards as industry leaders.

In a press release issued yesterday, NCB Group managing director, Patrick Hylton said he sees this as "a gratifying acknowledgement that the bank is setting the standard in our sector for consistently finding innovative financial solutions and services that meet the changing needs of our customers".

"Innovation is a key component of our organisation's value structure and forms one of our three critical brand pillars," Hylton added. "We place our customers at the centre of everything that we do and underscore that commitment by always finding sustainable and innovative ways to make the term 'excellent service' more relevant to each of our customers."
