Three senior bank executives to leave First Caribbean

Three senior figures at First Caribbean have resigned from their positions within the top echelons of the bank.

Darren Cash, who was the chief financial officer for the bank, Anna Degregory, the retail banking director, and treasurer Renee Moore have all handed in their notices.

The most recent resignation was Cash who announced his intention to leave on Monday. Cash is the current chairman of the Bahamas Development Bank and the vice chairman of the Free National Movement party.

A former senator fro 1997 to 2002, Cash has been with First Caribbean for about three years, prior to that he was CFO with Doctors Hospital. He has also held management positions at Ernst & Young and KPMG accounting firms, locally and abroad. It is expected he will leave by the end of April.

Anna Degregory, who submitted her resignation "some weeks ago" joined First Caribbean about three years ago, previously she was the managing director of RBC Finco.

Renee Moore also submitted her resignation some weeks ago and is expected to leave at the end of this month.

Managing Director of FirstCaribbean International Bank (Bahamas) Limited, Sharon Brown, told The Nassau Guardian: "In the normal course of any business individuals sometimes choose to pursue other opportunities.

"Both have made contributions to the growth and development of the bank and it has been a pleasure to work with them as part of the senior management team."
