Sagicor Financial Corporation Limited - Appointment of Senior Officer

Sagicor Financial Corporation Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Nari Persad to the post of Group Chief Actuary.

Mr. Persad brings significant experience to this position having held positions at Crown Life Insurance Company, Canada Life Assurance Company, Toronto Dominion Life Insurance Company, Swiss Re Life and Health and Dion Durrell & Associates. He was a Partner – Canadian Life Actuarial Practice Leader with Ernst & Young from 2011 to 2014, and until recently a Principal at Eckler Limited since 2014, where he was responsible for client management and market share expansion in the South American Market.

He holds a B.Sc. Specialist in Biochemistry and a BSc. Specialist in Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto, both earned in 1989, is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries since 1977, and an affiliate Member of the Caribbean Actuarial Association.

Mr. Persad will be based in our offices in Tampa, Florida, USA.
