RBC wins Global Retail Bank award

FOR the second straight year, RBC has been named the Global Retail Bank of the Year by Retail Banker International (RBI). RBC is one of the few global banks to receive this distinction two years in a row - an unprecedented achievement in a competition that attracted close to 400 nominations from the world’s most successful banks.

It is also about our clients, who put their trust in us to help them create the future they want and inspire us to reach new heights every day.”

Over the past few years, RBC has delivered a number of firsts for its retail clients in the Caribbean — including the seven-year auto loan and a differentiated VIP and Private Banking solution in Trinidad and Tobago and the mobile payment solution RBC EZPay which will be available in all of RBC’s Caribbean markets by the end of the year.

Recent client surveys in Trinidad and Tobago have indicated that RBC clients are pleased with the implementation of new products and the improvements made in our client services. “It is through the loyalty and support of our clients that we are able to enjoy this award and we also thank them for their continued commitment to our brand,” said White.

With the support of our employees, we have also made significant investments in our communities across the Caribbean from our Young Leaders programme which has touched the lives of thousands of young people, to our partnership with the Caribbean Children’s Cancer fund which has contributed more than TT $5 million to the care of treatment of young people with cancer, over the past five years.

This year’s RBI awards programme marks the fourth year in a row that RBC has been among the most recognized banks – in the history of the RBI Award’s, no other Canadian-based bank has ever achieved this level of international recognition.
