Unilever Caribbean Limited - Retirement of Chairman and Appointment of new Chairman

Unilever Caribbean Limited announces the retirement of Mr. Gary N. Voss as Chairman of the Board of Unilever Caribbean Limited effective May 21, 2015. Mr. Voss’ sterling contribution to Unilever Caribbean Limited spans a career that began in April 1982 as Technical Director. In August 1987, he assumed the dual role of Managing Director/Chairman of Unilever Caribbean Limited. Within this capacity, Mr. Voss successfully reshaped the Company, re-engineering key business processes that helped to establish Unilever Caribbean Limited as a leader in local manufacturing. We pay tribute to Mr. Voss’ 33 years of passionate commitment, wise counsel and inspirational leadership, and wish him continued health and success as he embarks on this new journey.

The Company also wishes to announce the appointment of Mr. Pablo Garrido as Chairman of the Board of Unilever Caribbean Limited, effective May 22, 2015. Mr. Garrido’s career with Unilever began in 1999, when he joined the Dominican Republic operation as Customer Management Director for North Caribbean. He moved to Trinidad in 2001 to assume the role of Managing Director of Unilever Caribbean Limited, a position he held until 2006. Mr. Garrido also served as an Executive Director on the Board of Unilever Caribbean Limited from 2002 to 2011. In 2007, he was promoted to Puerto Rico to take up the dual role of Chairman of the Greater Caribbean region and Country Manager for Puerto Rico’s Go To Market Operation. Mr. Garrido holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
