CIBC First Caribbean International Bank officially opened its first mini-branch at 63 Main Street, Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth last Sunday. According to Managing Director Nigel Holness, the mini-branch will eliminate many of the paper-driven processes that require extensive back office space, while allowing employees to serve customers using the latest technology. First Caribbean Santa Cruz will allow residents to open new accounts, make deposits, withdraw or transfer funds, pay bills, cheques, access Automated Banking Machines (ABMs), among other traditional banking products and services. The bank is also expected to boast a new Teller Cash Recycler, resulting in improved operational efficiency.
