Massy distributes for Angostura in Barbados

On August 15, Angostura Ltd and Massy Distribution (Barbados) Ltd announced their partnership for the distribution of Angostura’s portfolio of fine rums.

The official launch was held at The Grape Vine wine store in Holetown. Present at the launch, were key personnel from the hotel and restaurant, retail and duty free sectors, including Sandy Lane, CinCin, The Cliff restaurants and Elegant Hotels.

One of the highlights of the evening featured Brand Ambassador for Angostura, Jamaal Bowen, mixing four cocktails, each incorporating one of four Angostura rums – an Apple Ginger Mojito, featuring Angostura 5YO rum; an 1824 Rum Manhattan, a Trini Swizzle using Angostura 7YO rum and a 1919 Daiquiri. Guests were also able to enjoy the rums neat, or with specially recommended mixers. Angostura’s master distiller John Georges was also on hand to answer any questions on what makes Angostura rums different and how to enjoy them.
Guests were treated to an in-store pairing of Angostura’s 1919 and 1824 rums with chocolates.
To date the House of Angostura has won over 60 global awards for its premium rums, the company said in a statement last week.
