NOTICE TO SHAREHOLDERS

The WEST INDIAN TOBACCO COMPANY LIMITED (the Company/WITCO) advises that Mr Hiram Murillo, acting Managing Director, has been appointed the Managing Director of the Company and a Director with effect from 11th December 2024.

Mr Murillo started his career with British American Tobacco (BAT), the parent company of WITCO, in Costa Rica in 1995 as a Marketing Trainee. Since he joined the BAT Group, Mr Murillo has held increasingly senior roles within Marketing and General Management in more than seven (7) countries.

Mr Murillo began his international career in Uzbekistan within the Trade Marketing and Distribution department. This was followed by key roles in the Caribbean during the period of 2000-2008, starting here in Trinidad and Tobago as Trade Marketing and Distribution Manager of WITCO. In his Caribbean experience, Mr Murillo was also the Head of Marketing for an affiliated company, Carreras Limited in Jamaica, and led the Caribbean Marketing Services cluster as General Manager, again based in Trinidad and Tobago.

After this period in the Caribbean, Mr Murillo held General Management positions in Iran, Morocco and Central America. He also served as Head of Marketing for the North African cluster and as programme director for PeTra, the largest BAT Global Trade Marketing and Distribution Transformational programme.

His passion for developing and executing growth strategies, thinking strategically and working to develop high-functioning teams, have been key pillars during his career progression to deliver outstanding results.

The Board of Directors, Management and staff welcome Mr Murillo.
