THE TRINIDADIAN CONGLOMERATE Massy is waiting on positive action in the Barbados market so it can make a decision on some idle property it has in Bridgetown.
This action includes getting the long-talked-about Pierhead and marina project up and running.
Word of this has come from president and group chief executive officer of the Massy Group of Companies Gervase Warner.
He made the comments during today’s monthly luncheon of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce & Industry at Hilton Barbados Resort, responding to a question from BCCI’s senior vice president Eddie Abed, himself worried about hurdles to the revitalisation of the city.
Warner said Massy was virtually in an “abeyance, waiting to see what’s going to happen with this plan”, pointing out there were some things the group could do either because of the plan or its absence.
Warner was heading out of Barbados today for New York to talk with some investors. (TY)
