Sagicor relocates Tobago office

Sagicor Life Inc recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Tobago office at Plaza Assad, Wilson Street, Scarborough, followed by a corporate luncheon at The Palace Suite, Coco Reef Resort and Spa, Coconut Bay, Crown Point.

The insurance company first opened an office in Tobago on March 13, 1991, and as the island continues its diversification thrust from a tourism-based economy to other revenue streams, the management team of Sagicor decided that the time was right to further its investment in the people of Tobago. This, coupled with the expansion of the Sagicor staff in Tobago, meant the company’s former location no longer met its needs, leading to the decision to find larger premises.

Sagicor’s new location is home to the Richard Daly and Amery Rauseo Tobago branches. Both Daly and Rauseo are proven leaders in the local insurance industry and boast a combined experience of more than 50 years, 45 of those in management. They have received numerous industry awards and accolades and are ideally positioned to deliver on Sagicor’s commitment to Tobago.

Robert Trestrail, executive vice president and general manager, Sagicor Life Inc said: “Clients of Sagicor, you will benefit from excellent life, health and critical illness insurance products, annuities, mortgages, and children education plans.”

On the issue of general insurance, he said: “Our sister company, Sagicor General, offers insurance coverage for homes, motor vehicles, small businesses, fire and marine. We are a one-stop shop!”

The Tobago operations are backed by the Sagicor Group with 175 years of experience, operations in more than 20 countries and US$6 billion worth of assets.
