Jul 17, 2011

SUPREME Ventures Limited (SVL) on Friday announced the appointment of Nikos Nikolakopoulos to its board of directors.

Nikolakopoulos is the managing director for the Latin America region of INTRALOT, provider of state-of-the-art integrated gaming solutions to lottery and gaming organisations worldwide.

SVL said in a press release that the appointment of Nikolakopoulos complements the vision of the company, as it charts the path forward for expansion of its gaming lounge and sports betting operations over the next 10 years.

"INTRALOT's strategic stake in SVL and its recent signal through a 10-year contract for the provision of Video Lottery Terminals (slot machines) to upgrade the gaming floors at SVL's lounges, underscores their commitment to invest in Jamaica," said SVL chairman Paul Hoo.

"INTRALOT will also provide a state-of-the-art electronic monitoring system for the machines and training support for the technical staff of the gaming lounges. INTRALOT's expertise in route systems will also be utilised for the roll-out of slot machines in smaller betting lounges islandwide," Hoo added.

INTRALOT acquired a stake of SVL in 2008, increasing its participation in 2010. SVL already successfully uses INTRALOT's technology for its sports betting operations under the JustBet brand. INTRALOT also signed an agreement to provide SVL with Video Lottery Terminals and its Electronic Monitoring System, iGEM. INTRALOT is a supplier of integrated gaming and transaction processing systems, innovative game content, sports betting management and interactive gaming services to state-licensed gaming organisations worldwide. With presence in more than 53 countries, approximately 5,400 people and revenues of ¤1.1 billion for 2010, INTRALOT has established its presence on all continents.

Before joining INTRALOT, Nikolakopoulos held a number of senior positions in multinational information technology companies, including Microsoft, INTRACOM Group, among others. Born in 1968, he studied Information Technology at the Athens Economic & Business University and has received an MBA from the University of La Verne in the United States.
