NFM boss quits

KAMAL MANKEE has resigned his post as chairman of the National Flour Mills' (NFM) board of directors.

In a release yesterday, representatives of the food provision company said his resignation was effective as of last Friday.

Mankee, who is also an executive member of the Ministry of Finance Project Unit, served on the NFM board for the last nine years. He was the chairman for the last year.

Insiders said yesterday the board was staying tight-lipped about their new pick for chairman. The new chairman will be announced when NFM's board of directors meet again.

Mankee could not be reached for comment yesterday.
