NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF THE OFFER TO PURCHASE
any and all of the outstanding Ordinary Shares of
THE BARBADOS SHIPPING & TRADING COMPANY LIMITED
at a Cash Price of BDS$ 10.00 (US$ 5.00) per Ordinary Share

AMCL Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary and affiliate of ANSA McAL Limited, hereby advises that effective as at 9:00 a.m. this 16th day of October, 2007, it withdraws its offer to purchase any and all of the outstanding Ordinary Shares of The Barbados Shipping & Trading Company Limited (“BS&T”).

A Notice of Withdrawal of Offer setting out (a) the number of securities deposited pursuant to the offer and not taken up, (b) the details of the arrangements made for the prompt return of all Letters of Acceptance which have been deposited with the Designated Brokers, and (c) the reasons for withdrawal of the offer, has been delivered to the Barbados Securities Commission and the Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission, and will be mailed to The Barbados Shipping & Trading Company Limited and all registered shareholders of BS&T. Copies of that document shall also be made available on request from the Designated Brokers and will be posted at the Offeror’s website – www.ansamcaloffer.com.
