The Barbados Shipping and Trading Company Limited - Notice to Shareholders

The Board of Directors hereby inform shareholders that the Directors’ Circular in response to the Offer by Neal & Massy Holdings Limited to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of BS&T has been prepared as at September 11, 2007, and submitted to the Securities Commissions in Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago for review.

The Circular is expected to be mailed by September 17, 2007. The document will also be available for download from the BS&T’s website WWW.BSANDTCO.COM as of this date.

Shareholders are advised to await this Circular and to monitor any further information that may be published by the Board of Directors before taking a decision in respect of either of the two current takeover bids for the company.
