Scotiabank Trinidad & Tobago Limited - Change in Director and Senior Officer

Scotiabank announced the retirement of Brendan King, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited. After more than thirty years of distinguished services as a senior executive of the Bank of Nova Scotia, Canada (BNS), and following 5 years as Chairman of the Board, Mr. King retires effective October 31st 2020.

Mr. King has made many outstanding contribution to the Bank’s international markets over the years. As Chairman of the Board of Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago, he has played a key role in the direction and strategy of the Bank locally, including significant progress in transforming the bank digitally and other measures for long-term and sustainable growth. A new Chairman will be announced in due course.

Scotiabank also announced that Anya Schnoor has been appointed as the Executive Vice President of its Caribbean, Central America & Uruguay (CCAU) region, taking over from Brendan king’s position with BNS. Ms. Schnoor, who is Jamaican, was most recently Executive Vice-President, Retail Products in Canadian Banking. She has held several senior roles in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago in her 28-years career.
