The Barbados Shipping and Trading Company Limited - Notice to Shareholders

Further to our notice to shareholders dated 18th July 2007, indicating our intention to issue a circular to BS&T shareholders by 27th July 2007 in response to the Ansa McAl offer, there has been a series of recent events which the Board of Directors of BS&T has determined require their further consideration before they are in a position to communicate to shareholders.

Accordingly, the Directors have agreed that the Circular to Shareholders will now be issued by August 14, 2007, which will also inform them of recent developments.

In the meanwhile, BS&T shareholders are advised not to tender their shares in response to the Ansa McAl offer.
