The Barbados Shipping and Trading Company Limited - Notice to Shareholders

The Board of Directors hereby inform shareholders that an Offer to Purchase any and all outstanding Ordinary Shares of BS&T dated 16th July 2007 and an Investment Election document dated 16th July 2007, made in conjunction with the Offer to Purchase, have been received on 16th and 17th July 2007 respectively by the Board of Directors of BS&T from AMCL Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ansa McAl Ltd.

The Board of Directors will consider the documents received and will issue a Director’s Circular to Shareholders on or before 27th July 2007. In the meantime, Shareholders are advised to take no action on the AMCL offer until after receipt of the Directors’ Circular.
