The Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) this week announced three senior management appointments, advising that they became effective on Monday, September 19.
The three are Robert Stennett, who has been appointed to the position of division chief, Research and Economic Programming Division; Dr Jide Lewis, appointed division chief, Financial Institutions Supervisory Division; and Wainet Fearon, who is now deputy division chief, Financial Institutions Supervisory Division.
Stennett, the bank said, is a career economist with over 20 years’ experience. He holds an MSc in Economics and is a Hubert Humphrey Fellow. He has held various leadership positions in the bank, including that of chief economist and senior financial analyst in the governor’s office.
Dr Lewis has been promoted from the position of chief economist, which gave him portfolio responsibility for the Economic Information and Publications Department.
He began working with the BOJ in August 2003 and holds a PhD in Economic Development, an MSc in Economics, and is a certified financial analyst.
Fearon is a career central banker who has been employed to the BOJ since December 1995. She has worked in the Financial Institutions Supervisory Division since joining the bank.
She holds a BSc in Management Studies and has participated in several local, regional, and international technical training programmes, covering the full range of bank supervisory issues.
