Republic Bank Ltd has announced the appointments of Edward Ince and Ian Benjamin to its board of directors, effective August 17.
Ince is the founder and joint managing director of PRISM services; specialising in financial services, mail processing, records management and customer loyalty in the Central American and Caribbean regions.
He has extensive knowledge of the Caribbean region, coupled with a background in technology, and is the former general manager, Eastern Caribbean, Fujitsu ICL Caribbean, where he had oversight of the company's operations in Barbados, Grenada, St Vincent and Dominica, Republic Bank said in a statement on August 19.
He holds a BSc (Hons) Computer Science from York University, Toronto, Canada, and is a former National Aubrey Collymore Scholarship Recipient for Sciences.
Benjamin is the head of Bethany Chambers, Port of Spain.
He is a career advocate attorney with over 25 years' experience in practising and teaching law in Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom and Australia.
He is a well-regarded authority on legal matters pertaining to banking, financial regulation, company, insolvency, insurance, pension and tax litigation, construction disputes, professional negligence, and constitutional motions, the bank stated.
He holds an LLM (First Class Hons) from the University of Sydney, Australia; an LL.M. (Upper Second Class Hons) and a BA (First Class Hons in Law; Upper Second class Hons in Land Economy) from Girton College, University of Cambridge, England.
He was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales (1998), Trinidad and Tobago (1989), Dominica (2008), Grenada (2013) and Anguilla (2016).
