Massy Pt Fortin reopens

A FEW months after renovations began, Massy Stores reopened its doors to provide customers living in and around Point Fortin with a modern facility that offers convenience and high levels of customer care. According to a Massy press release, renovations to the supermarket began on April 1st 2016. The store opened again for business less than four months later on Friday July 15, with a grand ribbon- cutting ceremony attended by Point Fortin Mayor Clyde Paul and Derek Winford, CEO of Massy Stores.

“With a commitment to enhancing our customers’ experience, since 2014 we have embarked upon a number of projects including the modernisation of our stores and the construction of new stores,” Winford said.

“The refurbishment of this store is another example of our unfailing commitment to growth and improvement in the communities where we operate.” The location will offer one-stop shopping to local residents including features such as high-quality fresh produce, chilled and frozen meat, prepared foods and a wide variety of local and foreign food and general merchandise items.

The Massy Stores in Point Fortin will also offer a number of convenient, value-added services including a deli and bakery, butcher and fresh fish counters, MoneyGram and Sure- Pay points of service.

The registers, floors, aisles and freezers have also been upgraded.
