New managerial appointments at CCN and TV6

Shida Bolai, Chief Executive Officer, Caribbean Communications Network Limited has announced the following management appointments, at the Caribbean Communications Network and at CCN TV6. They are effective March 1.

Rhonda Ottlley has been appointed Station Manager, CCN TV6. Ottley has been employed at CCN TV6 for the past 12 years.

She first joined the organisation in 1999 as Promotions Coordinator and elevated to the post of Assistant Manager –

Programming in 2002 and then Programme Manager in 2007.

Ottley has been very instrumental in assisting the CCN TV6 team with maintaining the station's number one position in the market and contributed to the station's continued strategic competitive advantage.

Ottley holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communication (Merit) from Bournemouth University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications/Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Tampa.

Andy Sieupresad has been appointed Group New Media Manager, Caribbean Communications Network Ltd.

With fifteen years experience in the field of Marketing and Media Communications, Sieupresad joined the Trinidad Express Newspapers in 2006 as the Marketing Manager.

In 2007 he was asked to manage the newspapers’ Internet website www.trinidadexppress.com. Since then, the Internet Express under his stewardship has increased in revenue and is the most visited website in Trinidad and Tobago over all local websites.

Sieupresad is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Express Children’s Fund and a Member of the Management Committee of the MediaNet Haiti Relief Fund. He is also the Project Manager for the Trinidad Express Newspapers’ Carnival glossy magazine.

Sieupresad is the holder of an Executive Masters in Business Administration ( Honors) School of Business and Master’s Degree in Business Management (Executive) with distinction from the University of the West Indies and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management majoring in marketing from the University of Glamorgan, England.

He is also a past student of Presentation College, Chaguanas. At present he is reading for a Doctorate in Business Administration.

Marcus Chin-Aleong has been appointed Group Marketing Manager, Caribbean Communications Network Ltd.

Chin-Aleong joined CNN TV6 in September 3, 2007 as Marketing Manager. During his tenure Chin-Aleong oversaw the promotion and monetization of big ticket items, in particular ensuring the 2010 FIFA World Cup was a successful event.

In addition to this, and under his watch, he improved CCN TV6’s Management Information System and drove the direct market through segmentation, effective pricing and training. Through his efforts, this ensured that CCN TV6 brand maintained the number one choice for viewers and advertisers.

Chin-Aleong holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Heriot-Watt University, a BSc. in Management from the University of the West Indies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.

He is also a member of Canadian Securities Institute and of Chartered Institute of Marketing.
